Metlife Dental Copay Vs Ppo
- Citi offers two dental coverage options, which are the following: MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (MetLife PDP) Cigna Dental HMO (dental health maintenance organization) The MetLife PDP costs you more per paycheck than the Cigna Dental HMO. However, the MetLife PDP gives you the flexibility to see any dentist you choose.
- If the MetLife dental benefit plan is primary, MetLife will pay the full amount of benefits that would normally be available under the plan. If the MetLife dental benefit plan is secondary, most coordination of benefits provisions require MetLife to determine benefits.
- MetLife TakeAlong DentalSM is a perfect complement to your MetLife group dental plan, with little to no cost and little to no work for you. MetLife TakeAlong Dental makes it easy to offer a lifelong dental solution through the workplace for a segment of the workforce not eligible under your group plan such as part-timers and consultants.
- MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (MetLife PDP)
- Cigna Dental HMO (dental health maintenance organization)
The MetLife PDP costs you more per paycheck than the Cigna Dental HMO. However, the MetLife PDP gives you the flexibility to see any dentist you choose. When you visit an in-network dentist, you will pay a discounted fee.
$0 copay $65 $0 copay $50 Contact lens fit & follow-up Standard $17 copay $23 $32 copay $8 Premium $62 copay $23 $77 copay $8 Frames $0 copay up to $140. MetLife Dental Plan Dental coverage administered by MetLife is optional for you and your dependents. If you choose to enroll in a dental.
While the premiums for the Cigna Dental HMO are lower than the MetLife PDP, you must use a Cigna Dental HMO provider to receive a benefit under this option, except in very limited circumstances.
MetLife PDP: Let the dentist know that you participate in the MetLife PDP. Your Citi GEID is your MetLife member ID. Be sure to provide your Citi GEID when calling MetLife or submitting claims.
Cigna Dental HMO: Call the dental office that you have selected or to which you've been assigned. Provide the ID number on your Cigna Dental HMO ID card, sent to you in the mail and also available on the Cigna website and myCigna® app.
